"Here’s How REAP Helped This Student Reverse a Failing Semester"

IEP Consultation

I am writing on behalf of REAP, LLC, a specialized educational advocacy and tutoring organization, regarding Ethan Sims, a 10th-grade student at  St. Francis  Academy. Anna Betts, the parent of Ethan Sims, engaged our services to address compliance and adequacy issues regarding the implementation of Ethan’s IEP.

We also wish to address the systemic failures that have resulted in this student’s academic stagnation and regression. Both actions and inactions by St. Francis Academy constitute a violation of this student’s right to a proper education under the law.

To summarize, Ethan's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is a legally binding document that outlines his specific needs and accommodations. St. Francis continues to operate in violation of the mandates of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

As advocates, we stand firmly with Anna Betts and call for an immediate review of Allen's case and a reevaluation of the supports and accommodations. Our shared collective responsibility is to define a path for Ethan that aligns with his potential and aspirations.
