Our policy

At REAP Tutoring, we recognize and celebrate the essential role parents play in their child’s academic success. Your engagement, support, and encouragement are vital in helping your child thrive both in school and beyond. Together, we can create an environment where learning becomes a shared journey filled with growth, achievement, and confidence.

Partnering in Learning

You are your child’s first and most important teacher. Actively engaging in their education—whether by creating a welcoming learning space, sitting with them during practice sessions, or encouraging questions—helps build their confidence and motivation. At REAP, we believe learning continues at home, and we encourage parents to push for excellence through consistent practice and positive reinforcement.

Practice is Key to Success

To support student growth, REAP provides each enrolled student with a free IXL account. IXL is a powerful online learning platform that allows students to practice essential academic skills aligned with their grade level and Missouri state standards. However, students are required to practice for a minimum of 30 minutes daily to maintain this free membership. Consistency is critical to building mastery and confidence.

Creating the Right Learning Environment

To ensure success, virtual learning requires a space free from distractions. We ask parents to provide a quiet, organized work area where students can focus—away from the television, family traffic, and other devices. Virtual tutoring sessions are most effective when students use a laptop, tablet, or computer, as phone screens are too small and limit engagement.

Session Guidelines

Students are given a 10-minute grace period to log in to Zoom sessions. Beyond this window, sessions may be shortened or forfeited to ensure effective use of time. By encouraging punctuality, you are teaching your child valuable life skills such as accountability and responsibility.
